Bright Field Ring Lights

Bright Field Ring Lights combine direct illumination with around-the-lens mounting convenience, providing an out of the way lighting solution for applications requiring a high degree of contrast on non-reflective objects. Ranging in diameter from 50mm to 125mm, our ring lights can be configured for a wide variety of working distances and fields of view. All Ai ring lights are available in the full spectrum of visible and IR wavelengths, with many also available in our RGB “all color” version. Mounting options include brackets, “C” mounts, and collar mounts.

Dark Field Illuminators

Dark Field Illuminators are generally used on reflective surfaces to create a stark contrast between the background and specific features, for OCR inspections, or defects such as scratches and packaging tears. Using light to create dark areas may sound like an odd idea, but projecting light at an angle to the surface of an object will cause it to be deflected away from the camera - unless a surface variation causes the light to deflect into the lens. Nothing is seen by the vision system if there are no surface aberrations. Ai’s line of dark field illuminators includes classic 45° dark field and our line of low angle opposed lights.
