Connector Pro2 is an automated, non-contact Phase Shift Interferometer
with configurable and extendible software for fast and highly
accurate testing of fiber optic connectors (ST, FC, SC, LC) providing
3D topography surface parameters and Defects Detection. Every
measurement displays and characterizes the polished connector
endface providing surface information such as ferrule radius of
curvature, apex offset of polish, apex offset angle, and fiber
protrusion/under-cut.
Connector Pro2 incorporates an extra stable integrated stage with
5 independent degrees of freedom providing quick and easy adjustment.
The microscope in Connector Pro2 has a built-in high resolution
Mireau interferometry objective. To perform an inspection, simply
insert the connector into a connector holder and initiate the
measurement.
The Interferometer's stage and connector holder are firmly attached
to the objective, which provides extreme vibration resistance.
As a result, no vibration damping equipment is required. InspectorI's
compact size is ideal for facilities with limited bench space.
Moreover, it is portable and no external power supply is required.
Connector Pro2 software automatically acquires interferometric
data and calculates the parameters of the sample. It provides
measurements visualization and printing in addition to storing
the result in the Database.
