Cluster Manager
The Cluster Manager provides advanced capabilities to
enable a complete and powerful management solution for
the entire Optibase IPTV product line.The Cluster Manager
is a based on a multi-client-server architecture that
affords you control over clusters of Optibase media gateways
(MGW 5100 &MGW 1100) and other complementary video
equipment such as video switches from a single management
unit. Complementing the MGW 5100 and MGW 1100 carrier-grade
video streaming platforms, Optibase offers the Cluster
Manager, a sophisticated, yet simple-to-use pure JAVA,
cross-platform management system.The Cluster Manager enables
head-end administrators to adopt a process-oriented approach
when managing their streaming services. This approach
provides a comprehensive picture of multiple video devices
that are running simultaneously, or a specific view of
each device. The Cluster Manager offers comprehensive
redundancy including N+K redundancy - the most sophisticated
and cost-effective method to ensure reliable video streaming
services over broadband networks. The Cluster Manager’s
sophisticated services enable control and monitoring of
daily operations,while providing a cost-effective and
value-added video streaming solution, in terms of time

Cluster Manager Server
In addition to offering the Cluster Manager as a software
package that can run on any standard server (see specifications
below), Optibase offers a Cluster Manager server (low
profile, 19” compatible rack, 1RU height) along

Element Management
System
The MGW 5100 / MGW 1100 Element Management System (EMS)is
an SNMP-based management application that is installed
on any network PC. The EMS allows you to remotely add,
edit and remove service channels associated with installed
hardware. You can designate different types of user privileges
allowing you to create,delete or modify channels.You can
also view alarms for monitoring purposes, the system provides
a series of warnings and alarms.
